Hyalein is a clear, colorless, viscous, sterile aqueous ophthalmic solution. It has pH of 6.0-7.0 and osmotic pressure ratio of0.9-1.1.
Composition: Purified sodium hyaluronate, sodium chloride, propylene glycol, ε-aminocaproic acid, disodium edetate hydrate, benzalkonium chloride, sodium hydroxide, dilute hydrochloric acid and purified water.
Hyalein is used in dry eyes treatment or keratoconjunctival epithelial injury associated with the following diseases of causes: Endogenous diseases such as Sjögren’s syndrome, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, dry eye syndrome and other diseases.
Exogenous diseases caused by surgery, drugs, trauma, contact lens wearing, and other causes.
Usually, instill one drop a time to the eye 5-6 times daily. The dosage may be adjusted according to the patient's symptoms.
For ophthalmic use only. At the time of administration, be careful not to touch the tip of the bottle to the eye directly in order to avoid the contamination of the product. This product must not be used when wearing soft contact lenses.
If any adverse reactions are observed such as itching, irritation, conjunctivitis, conjunctival injection, cornea disorder such as keratitis superficial diffuse, foreign body sensation, blepharitis, and eyelid dermatitis, appropriate measures such as discontinuing administration should be taken.
If the patient notice any adverse reactions that is not listed in this monograph, please inform the doctor or pharmacist.
Store below 30°C in a tight container.
